A bit is going on behind the scenes at ATX Beat right now. We have a new contributor and the first DJ with access to his events and profile. This should help takes us to the next level of functionality. Blah blah blah boring? It’s going to make the site that much better and give Austin’s dubstep community a place to show their wares. Firehouse Lounge is taking advantage of (in a good way) the burgeoning Austin scene and plays host to a number of weekly events. Buckshot Saturday, put together by the same guys who ran Dirty South n Dubbed Out, gives you dubstep with residents Bokator, Lab Rat and Ohno plus various guests week to week. We’ve seen live MCing to the drum n bass of last night with Killa Mike (Digital Execution).
